Fuel/Distillates
Suburban Oil Co. offers high quality fuel designed to give optimum performance in various types of high and medium speed diesel engines. Its excellent ignition and volatility qualities assure quick starts, fast warm-ups and trouble free operation even under severe operating conditions.
No. 2 Diesel Fuel
Suburban Oil Co. blends special additives to our Diesel Fuels to offer the following for both On-Road and Off-Road applications:
- Higher Cetane Rating
- Anti-Gelling
- Moisture Dispersant
- Stabilizer and Bacteria Suppressant
Special Notice:
Suburban Oil Co. filters all No. 2 Fuel to 20 microns during the loading operation at our plant, to ensure cleaner injectors and less filter usage by our customers.
No. 1 Fuel (Dyed Kerosene):
Suburban Oil Co. provides dyed Kerosene which is marketed as No.1 Fuel and primarily used in vented space heaters (salamanders). No. 1 Fuel is the same product formerly sold as Kerosene, but due to federal taxation laws, is now Dyed Red to avoid use in highway equipment (Effective 1998). No. 1 Fuel (Dyed Kerosene) is a very clear burning product and offers maximum BTUs for space heater applications.
Solvents
Suburban Oil Co. maintains a complete line of solvents and chemicals for Industrial and Commercial requirements. Included in our product line are two commonly used solvents listed below:
Mineral Spirits 66/3
Suburban Oil Co. offers high quality 66/3 Mineral Spirits (Stoddard Solvent) for both commercial and Industrial applications. Our product meets Rule 66/3 to ensure the safety of persons using the material. The minimum 104°F Flash point gives the end user a fast drying parts cleaner.
140 Solvent
Suburban Oil Co. provides 140 Solvent to customers who desire a distillate material, similar to 66/3, with a higher Flash Point. 140 Solvent has a minimum Flash Point of 140°F, thus a slower drying product with excellent cleaning properties.
