ACT Water Glycol maintains fire resistance through its water content. When this hydraulic oil comes in contact with an ignition source, the water content is released as a suffocating blanket of steam, giving it the ability to prevent flame propagation. ACT Water Glycol fire resistant hydraulic oil also offers excellent corrosion protection, the superior heat transfer characteristics of water, as well as compatibility with most seals, O rings and gaskets. Additional benefits include minimized cavitation and cold start-up pump wear problems, ability to mix with other water glycol type fluids, resistance to chemical breakdown and oxidation, as well as no separation in normal use and storage.
