High performance products, designed for a broad range of extreme temperature applications, the Mobilith SHC series is the choice for many industries. Mobilith SHC greases combine the features of synthetic base fluids with the characteristics of a premium quality lithium complex thickener. By nature, synthetic fluids are wax-free and compared with mineral oils they have a low coefficient of traction. Because of this they offer excellent pumpability as well as low starting and running torque at low temperatures. The Mobilith SHC series offers the benefits of potential energy savings and reduced operating temperatures in some applications.
Mobilith SHC greases provide excellent adhesion, resistance to water, as well as structural stability, due to a lithium complex thickener. In addition to a high degree of chemical stability, Mobilith SHC products have the benefit of a formulation that includes additive combinations for superior protection against rust, corrosion, and wear at both low and high temperatures. Seven grades of Mobilith SHC products are available, with base oil viscosities ranging from ISO VG 100 to 1500, and NLGI grades from 2 to 00.

Applications
Though Mobilith SHC Series products work well with most mineral oil based products, mixing may affect performance. Therefore, we recommend thorough system cleaning before changing to the Mobilith SHC Series, to assure the maximum performance benefits.
Mobilith SHC Series greases share many performance benefits however applications are best described in terms of each product grade:
- Mobilith SHC 100
This is a wear-resistant, extreme pressure grease that is primarily recommended for high speed applications in which reduced friction, low wear and long service life are demanded. It is an NLGI 2 Grade / ISO VG 100 grease with a synthetic base fluid. Its operating temperature range is -40º C* to 150º C. - Mobilith SHC 220
This grease is multi-purpose, NLGI 2 extreme pressure product recommended for industrial applications and heavy-duty automotive jobs. It uses an ISO VG 220 synthetic base fluid. Mobilith SHC 220 has a recommended operating temperature range of -40º C* to 150º C. - Mobilith SHC 221
An extreme pressure grease that is multi-purpose, Mobilith SHC 221 is ideal for heavy-duty automotive and industrial applications, particularly where centralized grease systems are used. With an ISO VG 220 synthetic base fluid, Mobilith SHC 221 has a recommended operating temperature range of -40º C to 150º C. - Mobilith SHC 460
NLGI 1.5 Grade is an extreme pressure grease with ISO VG 460 synthetic base fluid, recommended for tough industrial and marine applications. For applications requiring water resistance, it provides strong bearing protection under large loads at low-to-moderate speeds. Mobilith SHC 460 has proven to be a solid performer in steel mills, paper mills and marine applications. Ideal operating temperature range is -30º C* to 150ºC. - Mobilith SHC 1000 Special
This is an NLGI 2 Grade grease with ISO VG 1000 synthetic base fluid, fortified with solid lubricants including 11% graphite and 1% molybdenum disulphide for peak protection of plain or rolling element bearings operating under boundary lubrication functions. This grease is designed to extend bearing life in applications involving extremely slow speeds, high temperatures, and heavy loads. The suggested operating temperature is -20°C* to 150 °C with required lubrication intervals. - Mobilith SHC 1500
This NLGI 1.5 Grade / ISO VG 1500 grease has a synthetic base fluid. It was developed for applications involving plain and rolling element bearings operating under heavy loads, at extremely slow speeds and high temperatures. Mobilith SHC 1500 performs best at a temperature range of -20 ºC* to 150 ºC. This grease has been very effective in extending bearing life in a severe roll press application. - Mobilith SHC 007
This grease with synthetic base fluid is NLGI 00 Grade / ISO VG 460. It has been developed for an operating temperature range of -50º C to 150 º C with required lubrication intervals. Its basic applications are in grease filled industrial gear cases exposed to high temperatures, where conventional semi fluid greases will not provide necessary lubricant life.
